Alumni Roundtable Talks in Frankfurt am Main (27 Oct 10) and in London (3 Nov 10)
The ILF organized 2 Alumni Roundtable Talks (ART) for our alumni in Frankfurt and Main and in London. Such after-work drinks seesions are aimed to provide networking opportunities, to share the latest news on the ILF activities and to develop alumni relations among our alumni. More of such sessions will be organized in 2011.
ILF Class Graduation on Friday, 16 July 2010
On Friday, 16 July 2010 at 7.00 p.m, the ILF Graduating Class of 2010 celebrated the successful completion of the academic year 2009/10 with their family, friends, and members of the ILF boards and faculty. It was a happy occasion for all at the annual ILF Graduation Event held on Campus Westend.
Mr. Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the European Central Bank and Chairman of ILF Academic Advisory Board gave the welcome address to the class.
Mr. Trichet spoke about the support which the European Central Bank has been giving to the ILF since its establishment in 2002 to provide high-level academic and professional training to lawyers and managers in financial industry. He emphasised the strong relationship between the ECB and the ILF as seen from the fact that a number of experts at the ECB are lecturers of the LL.M. Finance program, that ILF students do their internships at the ECB, that ILF students are employed by the ECB and that he heads the academic advisory board. The financial world has seen changes since the recent economic and financial crisis and ILF graduates have been taught the skills necessary to face the challenging issues of our time. He congratulated our graduates on their achievements and wished them a successful career ahead.
ILF Career Day on 11 June 2010
The ILF held its 2nd Career Day on Friday, 11 June 2010. The morning session comprised an information session by the ILF and presentations of various law firms, companies, public entities as well as a recruitment and personnel consultancy. Everyone who was interested to know more about the ILF and its supporters were welcomed to attend the morning session.
After the lunch break, ILF Students and Alumni had the opportunity to take part in one on one talks with representatives from the firms who presented in the morning as well as others.
