A. Schlolarships
Deutsche Bank Scholarship - One full-tuition scholarship covering a full year's tuition fees of EUR 18,000 for the LL.M. Finance program 2012/13 is available for law graduates who have passed the First and/or Second German State Examination(s) (Grade "Vollbefriedigend"). If you wish to apply for the scholarship, please include a letter specifiying your intention together with the application documents required for the LL.M. Finance program.
ILF Scholarships (Financial Need-Based) - Partial scholarships for tuition fees are granted by the ILF on a need-basis. Such scholarship funds are made possible by the generosity of the ILF sponsors and is awarded at the discretion of the ILF Admissions Committee based on merit as well as the applicant’s proven financial need. For the academic year 2012/13, based on the proven need of the applicants, ILF Scholarships in the form of tuition waivers will be granted in the amounts of either €12,000 or €6,000.
The ILF does not publicise the details of criteria used to assess applications for these Financial Need-Based Scholarships. However, as the ILF Scholarships are based on financial circumstances, you will only succeed in securing support if you provide as much information as possible about your individual and family financial situation. Your financial information will not be considered as part of your application for a place in the LL.M. Finance program.
B. ILF Matching Scholarships for Employer's Contributions
The ILF will, to a certain extent, match the amount which an employer agrees to sponsor a student's tuition fee for participating in the LL.M. Finance program 2012/2013. Applicants to our LL.M Finance program may wish to look into the following websites for more information regarding the possibility of obtaining scholarships. Please contact the responsible person of these scholarship providers regarding eligibility requirements and application deadlines.
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD): Scholarships are awarded to university graduates from all academic disciplines. We recommend that students consult the DAAD website early in their application process: www.daad.de.
Alfred Toepfer Scholarships: Applicants below the age of 30 from Middle and Eastern Europe may apply for the which provide the sum of money for costs of living in Germany. For more details, please see www.toepfer-fvs.de/toepfer-stipendium.html.
