Anke Waclawik has worked as a supervisor of property- and casualty insurance companies at BaFin (Federal Financial Supervisory Authority) since December 2002. Before, she worked for nearly two years as a lawyer, specialized on insurance claims.

Anke Waclawik started her professional career in 1991 within the insurance industry. She has teaching experience, working for various private institutions.

Anke Waclawik has a degree in law and economics. From 1998 to 2002 she took her doctorate in law at the University of Mannheim on private insurance law.
