Dr. Klaus Albert Bauer

 

Position

Dr. Klaus Albert Bauer was a former partner in the Frankfurt Office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He is qualified both as a German Rechtsanwalt and as a US attorney at law. Dr. Bauer is also Vice-Chairman of the Eastern European Forum of the International Bar Association.

Special interests

Dr. Bauer joined the firm in 1984 and was concentrating on work in the Corporate and Finance Practice Groups.

Vita

From 1994 to 1999 Dr. Bauer was Resident Partner in the firm's Tokyo and Moscow Offices. Dr. Bauer received his legal education at the Universities of Würzburg, Tübingen, Geneva and New York. He holds a juris doctor from Tübingen and an LL.M. from Columbia University in New York. His professional experience includes advising large corporate and banking clients in M&A and financial transactions ranging from cross border acquisitions to IPO's and structured finance transactions.
