Dr. Nikolaus Vieten is a partner at Hengeler Mueller’s Frankfurt office.

Special interests

Dr. Vieten advises leading German and international banks, corporations and private equity funds on syndicated loans, acquisition finance, loan portfolio transactions and restructurings.

Vita

Dr. Vieten was born in Wuerzburg, Germany. He earned a diploma in business administration from the University of Wuerzburg and studied law at the Universities of Wuerzburg and Cologne. Dr. Vieten did his articles (Referendarzeit) in the district of the Higher Regional Court (OLG) of Bamberg. In 2002, he was admitted to the German Bar and joined Hengeler Mueller. During his time as an associate of Hengeler Mueller, he worked with an investment bank in London for one year. Afterwards, he worked as a director for an investment bank in London in the area of non-performing loans and real estate investments. He re-joined Hengeler Mueller in 2008 and became a partner in 2012.

Dr. Vieten has four children and enjoys playing squash and playing the piano.
