Dr. Oliver Heiland

 

Position

Dr. Oliver Heiland is Chief Investor Solutions Officer at Finance in Motion, one of the world’s leading emerging markets impact asset managers. He serves as executive managing director of Finance in Motion Asset Management. As member of the firm’s global executive leadership team, he provides strategic direction, leadership and overall management in the build-out of Luxembourg based asset management business and private markets impact platform (USD 4 bn. AUM in emerging markets private debt, private equity, blended finance). Dr Heiland has broad subject matter expertise across Asset Management, Finance, M&A, Project & Infrastructure Finance, Impact Investing and Sustainable Finance.

Vita

Dr. Heiland studied law in Mannheim, Amsterdam and Adelaide and holds a Master of Comparative Laws from the Universities of Mannheim and Adelaide. He holds a Ph.D. in public international law (The human right to water) and is a fully qualified attorney. Dr. Heiland started his career with Allen & Overy in 2001 and has been a lecturer since 2009 (Energy Project Finance until 2021; Sustainable Infrastructure Investments for Institutional Investors since 2022).
