Why Sponsor and Who are ILF Sponsors?

Why sponsor the ILF?

Support the ILF - Ambitious Projects Need Committed Sponsors

The ILF offers financial support to talented graduates seeking an LL.M. Finance degree from the ILF. In this regard, we need the commitment of private sector sponsors who are convinced that the future global competitiveness lies in providing outstanding graduates with expert training to prepare them for important positions in the world, including Germany and Europe.

As a non-profit foundation of the private sector, the ILF offers attractive and varied modes of sponsorship for private enterprises. You can:

  • make direct financial contributions to the ILF Foundation or an endowment to the ILF;
  • finance the tuition for one or more students;
  • sponsor individual students;
  • sponsor conferences and guest lectures:
  • provide internships;
  • offer the services of expert professionals as lecturers at the ILF; and
  • pay the costs of individual facilities (e.g. library, seminar rooms or IT equipment).

By making such contributions, you show your commitment to the provision of an excellent and a challenging postgraduate educational program. You will also be supporting the interdisciplinary transfer of knowledge as well as encouraging a dialogue between theory and practice at the European level. The support, both financial and in kind, which you provide will ensure that persons of the highest calibre, regardless of their financial means, are selected by the ILF for the LL.M. Finance and LL.M. International Finance programs.

A most welcomed side-effect is that sponsors will be able to increase their presence among important target groups and the future leaders of the world which would, of course, include many of the highly-qualified ILF students.

In addition to Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, numerous prominent institutions and companies within Frankfurt's large banking and financial community already form part of the ILF's supporters.

We cordially invite you to join this distinguished group!

Forms of Sponsor Contributions

The ILF’s success and continuity, being a non-profit organization, is hugely dependent on the generous support of our sponsors from the ranks of governmental institutions, law firms, banks, major companies and individuals. Our sponsors, both public and private, have chosen to support the Institute for Law and Finance in a variety of forms.

While financial support remains the main form of support received by the ILF, many of our sponsors demonstrate a special commitment to the ILF’s mission by providing, on a pro bono basis, the expertise of some of their most senior experts in law and finance who provide the ILF students with actual practical insight into the most significant aspects in their fields of work. These expert lecturers are drawn from our sponsors such as leading international financial institutions, law firms, the European Central Bank, regulatory bodies etc.

We are happy to receive support in various ways e.g. monetary donations, provision of faculty members, provision of internship placements, sponsorship of conferences, seminars or special students’ events, sponsorship of guest professorships, research associates or LL.M. students’ tuition fees as well as sponsorship of books and materials etc.

By committing themselves for a period of over 5 years, our sponsors will have the right to be represented on the ILF Board of Trustees (minimum contribution of 50,000 EUR annually) and on the ILF Donors’ Committee (minimum contribution of 5,000 EUR annually).
