On 29 April 2013, the 8th Funds Forum Frankfurt was held at the Casino building of Goethe University Frankfurt am Main on Campus Westend.
Prof. Dr. Andreas Cahn, ILF Executive Board Director, welcomed about 200 guests and the following participants of the panel discussion: Mr. Uwe Wewel (Head of the Unit Investments in the Ministry of Finance, Berlin) first started speaking about the regulations of the KAGB for closed-end special AIF. Thereafter, Ms. Patricia Volhard, (P + P Pöllath + Partners, Frankfurt, Co-Chair of the Legal Advisory Board and Member of EVCA, Member of the Legal Advisory Board of the BVK) described selected practical questions in terms of closed-end fund structures.
The following panel discussion on the new regulatory environment and various issues was chaired by Prof. Dr. Cahn. The panel included Mr. Uwe Wewel, Dr. Stephanie Kremer (Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, BaFin), Ms. Dörte Höppner (Managing Director, European Venture Capital Association, EVCA), Mr. Christoph Stresing (Federal Association of German Venture Capital Association e.V., BVK), Mr. Gilles Dusemon (Partner, Arendt & Medernach, Member of the Legal Advisory Board of the ALFI) and Ms. Patricia Volhard.
At the end of the panel discussion and after answering questions raised by the audience, the speakers and guests were invited to a reception and further in-depth discussions made possible by the friendly support of the co-organizers P+P Pöllath + Partners.
