We warmly welcomed a total of 66 LL.M. Finance and LL.M. International Finance students starting the new academic year 2026/27 on Friday, 2 October 2026 when they participated in the Orientation Meeting held on Campus Westend of Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. Dr. Rolf Friedewald, ILF Managing Director gave the opening remarks followed by the short self-introduction of each student of the 2 programs. Thereafter, Ms. Shen-Dee Kobbelt, Head of Programs and Marketing, gave key insights into the LL.M. program structures and requirements followed by Mr. Thorsten Brückner, Information Center Manager, who spoke about the workings and usage of the library and research facilities available at the Information Center of the House of Finance as well as Goethe University. After the coffee break, Ms. Panagiota Bountrou, Communications and Alumni Manager, provided an informative overview of important administrative matters, including a Q&A session. Ms. Fabiola Hack, Team and Student Affairs Assistant, also provided information about the upcoming student activities which have been organized for the class.
From 5 to 9 October 2026, all students will be attending the introductory courses “Basics of EU Law” and “Basics of Financial Mathematics” to help them build a solid foundation before the official start of regular classes on Monday, 12 October 2026.
We are delighted to have this cohort of highly-qualified and talented students joining us for the new academic year and we look forward to having an exceptionally memorable and enriching year with them at the ILF!
