In cooperation with the international law firm Hogan Lovells and the Deutsches Aktieninstitut, the Institute for Law and Finance (ILF) successfully hosted the annual "Capital Markets & Takeover Conference" at the Sofitel Hotel in Frankfurt on Tuesday, 14 May2024.
At the start of the conference, Prof. Dr. Andreas Cahn, Executive Director of Institute for Law and Finance, Dr. Claudia Royé, Head of Capital Markets of Deutsches Aktieninstitut e.V. and Prof. Dr. Michael Schlitt, Partner of Hogan Lovells, gave the joint welcoming address.
It was then followed by presentations and contributions made by tthe following experts who spoke about current questions on ECM, DCM and Public M&A transactions from different perspectives:

Finally, a panel discussion about "Aktuelle Entwicklungen bei öffentlichen Übernahmen und aktivistischen Investoren" was moderated by Dr. Tim Brandi, Partner of Hogan Lovells and Dr. Sebastian Biller, Counsel of Hogan Lovells. The panel consisted of Ms. Dora Kreymborg, Global Head of M&A Advisory Legal & Conflicts of Citi, Mr. Lukas Pönsgen, Head of M&A Germany, Austria, Switzerland of Bank of America and Dr. Cai Berg, Senior Managing Director of ParkView Partners.
The conference concluded with a get-together in the business lounge of the Omniturm, where participants and speakers were able to exchange views on the presentations and topics discussed.
