On 3 October 2024, our new students celebrated German Unity Day with a city tour of Frankfurt am Main, exploring the city’s unique blend of history and financial prominence. Led by a former investment banker, the group received insider perspectives on the Bankenviertel, Frunkfurt’s bustling financial district.
From the storied streets of the Dom Römer to the iconic Paulskirche, the group immersed itself in the cultural heartbeat of Frankfurt.
One of the day’s highlights was the visit to the historical Römer city hall, purchased by the city in 1405. Inside its chambers, one can reflect on the historical milestones that have shaped both the city and the nation. The tour continued through the “new old town,” across the Iron Bridge, from where our students had a stunning view of the Westhafen Tower – a striking modern addition to the city’s skyline that resembles a giant apple wine glass, with its 3,500 glass panels echoing the classic design. A local fun fact? The apple wine glass’s unique triangular pattern helps maintain a secure grip – functionality meets design!
Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to making this day memorable!
