This year, in 2022, we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Institute for Law and Finance. The ILF was established in 2002 with the goal of providing a high-level and all-rounded education and training by legal and financial specialists and experts to those who seek to stand out in the fields of law and finance. In the past 20 years, the ILF has two well established Master of Laws programs (Master of Laws in Finance and Master of Laws in International Banking, Securities and Finance) which attract many top international students every year from all over the world to come to study at the ILF. During their year of study at the ILF, our students gain the best possible academic and practical training to give them the added competitive advantage to excel in their careers.
Besides teaching, the ILF is also well known for providing an academic forum for many debates and discussions on the most topical issues at its conferences, seminars and guest lectures. The Summer School "Law on Banking and Capitals Markets" and the Spring School "Corporate Law in Legal Practice" in the past years have provided young German-qualified lawyers with the requisite expertise when starting on their chosen careers. In addition, a wide range of research publications is also offered by the ILF.
We are extremely proud of our many acomplishments in Germany and internationally and we thank all our alumni, lecturers, students, staff, sponsors and friends for their extensive support in the past 20 years.
We look forward to them continuing to be our solid pillars of support as we continue to push ahead in developing our role as a leading institution of learning and exchange in the next 20 years with great enthusiasm and optimism!
