On 14 October 2026, our new students of the Institute for Law and Finance (ILF) took part in the ILF Palm Garden (Palmengarten) Challenge. Under a sunny sky, 60 students from around the world formed ten international teams, each named after a world financial center, and participated in an afternoon of exploring, competing and bonding! Upon first meeting up at the House of Finance, each team was given tasks of the scavenger hunt as well as the clues to complete the photo pool at the Palm Garden in Frankfurt.
Part 1: Palmengarten
The day began at the Palm Garden with a mini golf tournament, with every team playing all 18 holes. Afterwards, the teams set off on a scavenger hunt through the gardens, solving clues and completing creative tasks together. They also captured their photo pool missions along the way.
Part 2: Results at the House of Finance
Back at the House of Finance, each team presented its results and photos to fellow students and administrative members of the ILF. The top three mini golf players were each presented with a bottle of wine. Team Dubai was announced the winner of the scavenger hunt and each member of team received a well-deserved medal! The participants were also winners of the event as they got to know each other better during the day and had supported each other as team members.
Part 3: Celebration
The evening continued in the foyer of the House of Finance with a reception for all. Students of the Class of 2027 were joined by selected alumni, lecturers and other friends of the ILF. Those who wanted to continue their conversations in a quieter setting retreated to the Faculty Lounge in the House of Finance. Many good discussions took place, many new friendships were formed and social and working networks were expanded!
Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all participants for making the day a success! Here's to a great year ahead for the ILF Class of 2027!
