ILF Summer School “Law of Banking and Capital Markets” from 2 to 13 September 2019

The ILF successfully conducted its Summer School “Law of Banking and Capital Markets” from 2 to 13 September 2019. The Summer School was aimed at highly qualified advanced students of German law, German law clerks and PhD students with a particular interest for Law of Banking and Capital Markets.

During a total of ten course days, the Summer School "Law of Banking and Capital Markets" taught principles and in-depth knowledge of Banking Supervisory Law and Restructuring of Banks, Credit and Hybrid Financing, Aircraft Financing, Issuances of Debentures and Stocks as well as of Trading and Acquisition of Loans Portfolio. In addition, principles and practice of Specialized Financing und Derivates were introduced. Further topics were Asset Management, Restructuring of Financial Distress, Law on Takeovers and Going Private and Drafting of Legal Documents in English.

The summer school was officially closed by a dinner event where the selected participants had the opportunity to network with the representatives of the law firms and banks as well as amongst themselves.
