Legal and Management Training Program started for LL.M. International Finance Students on 21 February 2022

The 4-week Legal and Management Training Program for our LL.M. International Finance students started on 21 February 2022 after the exams for the winter semester were concluded. Our students are attending courses covering international business and intercultural communication skills as well as presentation, CV writing and global recruitment interview skills and Advanced Business and Lgeal English held on Campus Westend.

In addition, as part of our aim to broaden our students’ scope of knowledge of the diversed aspects and activities of the working world, they also have the opportunity to attend a total of 7 seminars/presentations held by regulatories authorities, central banks, commercial banks, law firms and companies.

During the first 2 weeks, we had the privilege of having the following speakers at the ILF:

  • Dr. Axel-Johannes Korb (Senior Legal Counsel) and Mr. Guillermo Rebollo de Garay (Public Communications) from the European Central Bank presenting on "Institutional Legal Aspects of the ECB";
  • Dr. Michael Burian (Partner M&A) and Dr. Yixiao Li ( Associate M&A) from Gleiss Lutz presenting on "Working as a Lawyer on Cross-Border Matters between Asia and Europe"; and
  • Ms. Melani Miska (Product Manager Credit) and Mr. Michael Demel (Corporate Relationship Manager) from Banco Santander speaking on "Santander's Asia Overview"
