LL.M. International Finance Students Visited KfW on 11 March 2015

As part of the Intercultural Communication course of the LL.M. International Finance program, our 11 Chinese students attended a number of company excursions which were organized for them during the semester break.

On 11 March 2015, our 11 Chinese students visited KfW, one of the leading promotional banks in the world. As promotional bank, KfW supports and encourages forward-looking ideas – in Germany, Europe and throughout the world. The program consisted of four comprehensive presentations. The first presentation was held on the topic "General Introduction and Treasury and Financing Activities of KfW". It was then followed by a talk on "Regulation and Governance of KfW". After a lunch break, KfW gave an insight to "German Financial Cooperation" with a focus on KfW's activities in China. The last presentation was then giving an overview of "The Legal Framework of the German Financial Cooperation" which took a closer look at the legal structure of promotional loans to China. After each individual presentation, our students could take the opportunity to raise specific questions at a Q&A session.  At the end of the visit, Dr. Rolf Friedewald, Managing Director of the ILF, thanked all speakers for their support of the ILF.
