"Spezifische Konstellationen im Wirtschaftsrecht – Kartelle, Patente und Korruption" - 3rd joint event of Wistev and Deutsche Strafverteidiger e.V. in cooperation with the ILF held on 27 March 2015

On 27 March 2015, Wirtschaftsstrafrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. (Wistev) and Deutsche Strafverteidiger e.V. in cooperation with the Institute for Law and Finance (ILF) hosted a joint event on commercial criminal law with a focus on antirust, patents and corruption at the Hörsaalzentrum of Goethe University.

Dr. Christian Schoop, Deutsche Strafverteidiger e.V., and Christian Rosinus, Wirtschaftsstrafrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. (Wistev), welcomed more than 40 attendees and speakers and opened the event by introducing the main topics and the speakers of the two panels.

The first lecture on "Kartellbußgeldverfahren vor Gericht – Anmerkungen aus staatsanwaltlicher Sicht" was held by Oberstaatsanwalt Uwe Mühlhoff, Staatsanwaltschaft Duisburg. He was followed by Dr. Dominique S. Wagener, LL.M. (NYU), who spoke about the defense of antitrust infringements in her lecture "Verteidigung bei Kartellverstößen". The last speaker of the first panel Mr. Björn Krug talked about the defense of corruption infringements in his speech "Verteidigung bei Korruptionstraftaten".

After a lunch break, Dr. Burkhard Führmeyer, opened the second panel discussion focusing on copyright issues with his presentation "Zivilrechtliche Fragestellungen bei Wettbewerbs- und Urheberstraftaten". He was followed by Dr. Ingo Bott who spoke about "Verteidigung bei Wettbewerbs- und Urheberstrafen". The last speaker after the coffee break was Oberstatsanwalt HAL. Thomas Weith, Staatsanwaltschaft München I, who gave an insight on official corruption investigations in his speech "Ermittlungen und Beweissituationen bei Korruptionsvorwürfen".

This third joint event of Wirtschaftsstrafrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. (Wistev) and Deutsche Strafverteidiger e.V. was finally closed by a discussion chaired by Dr. Christian Schoop and Christian Rosinus.
