Students visited the ECB on 11 June 2015 and the Deutsche Börse on 15 June 2015

ILF students of both the LL.M. Finance and LL.M. International Finance programs recently went on two short excursions.

On 11 June 2015, they had the opportunity to visit the European Central Bank at its new premises located in the eastern part of Frankfurt am Main. Even before the official opening of the building for visits to the general public, our students were able to get a first impression of the new premises which is located at the former site of Frankfurt’s wholesale market hall. The highlight of the visit were two presentations regarding the current tasks and activities of the ECB held by Mr. Ralf Tutsch, Principal Legal Counsel, Dept. Supervisory Law and Dr. Arne Gieseck, Adviser, Dept. Output and Demand.

On 15 June 2015, our students visited the Deutsche Börse located in the city center of Frankfurt. They first attended a lecture on the history, structure and workings of the Deutsche Börse before having the opportunity to have a look at the well-known trading floor of the stock exchange.
