The Minister of Justice of Vietnam, Dr. Le Thanh Long, visited the Faculty of Law and the Institute for Law and Finance (ILF) of Goethe University on 26 November 2022. The Minister was accompanied by Mr. Le Quang Long, the Frankfurt Consul General, and Dr. Kambiz Ghawami, Chairman of World University Service Germany.
The Minister of Justice had previously met up with his German counterpart, the Federal Minister of Justice, Dr. Marco Buschmann, in Berlin and with the Minister of Justice of the State of Hesse, Prof. Dr. Roman Poseck, in Wiesbaden. During the political talks in Berlin and Wiesbaden, it was agreed that both parties will continue and deepen the dialogue on the rule of law.
At Goethe University, the Vietnamese Minister of Justice was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Bender, Chairman of the Association of Friends and Supporters of Goethe University, and ILF Board Members Prof. Dr. Manfred Wandt and Dr. Hendrik Haag. Dr. Le Thanh Long thanked the Faculty of Law and the Institute for Law and Finance for maintaining close ties with Hanoi Law School for many years, and providing consultative advice in this regard. He pledged his political support for deepening this cooperation, especially through exchange programs for scholars and students in the field of law.
