The Institute for Law and Finance together with Deloitte hosted the event "Vergütungsgestaltung in Banken - Aktuelles aus der Praxis" on 9 May 2019 at the Japan Tower in Frankfurt
The welcoming remarks were made by Dr. Rolf Friedewald, Institute for Law and Finance, and Mr. Peter L. Devlin, Deloitte.
The first presentation on "Angemessene Vergütung für Risikokträger: Banken versus Fondsverwalter" was held by Prof. Dr. Andreas Engert, Freie Universität Berlin. He was followed by Ms. Elke Weppner, Association of Foreign Banks in Germany, who spoke about on how to deal with the strict German regulatory requirements for compensation of employees compared to other European countries in her presentation “Vergütungssysteme in Auslandsbanken – Vergütung als Standortfaktor”. The last lecture “Erfahrungen mit der InstitusVergV 3.0 aus Sicht der Aufsichtspraxis” was presented by Ms. Karin Kliche, Deutsche Bundesbank.
The event was closed by a panel discussion and a reception held for the speakers and about 60 participants.
