On the evening of Friday, 22 May 2020, ILF students and staff attended our very first online social event - Virtual Wine Tasting with the Winery Jakob Jung. The wine for this event was supplied from the local vineyard Jakob Jung from the Rheingau, a small family run enterprise since 1799 with an astounding passion for their wines and the wine-making process.
After the welcome messages from Dr. Rolf Friedewald, ILF Managing Director and Ms. Shen-Dee Kobbelt, Head of Programs and Marketing, the participants were shown a short video of the Rheingau region. Thereafter, Mr. Alexander Jung of Jakob Jung Winery gave an overview of his work and experience as well as types of wine produced at his vineyards while the participants were enjoying a wine tasting of their most popular wines.
The evening continued with the exciting online game of Bingo conducted by Ms. Jennifer Barnett, Student Relations and Marketing Manager, where our students could win prizes in 3 rounds of bingo! Congratulations to the 3 winners: Mr. Koenraad Mertens, Ms. Ana Vidal and Mr. Micheal Lecci!
