On 9 June 2015, the ILF welcomed a delegation from China University of Political Science and Law (“CUPL”), namely Prof. Yajun Shi, Chairman of University Council, Prof. Zhiyong Xie, Vice-Dean of Graduate School, Prof. Bingxiang Zhao, Vice-Dean of School of Sociology, Prof. Haiyan Wang, Director of Center for Judicial Reform, Mr. Lyu Yong, Assistant Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
The ILF representatives comprising Prof. Dr. Andreas Cahn, ILF Executive Director, Dr. Rolf Friedewald, ILF Managing Director, Ms. Shen-Dee Kobbelt, Head of Programs and Marketing and Ms. Chongxiang Chen, Admissions and Marketing Manager held a meeting in the House of Finance. Prof. Cahn welcomed the delegation and introduced the ILF and its LL.M. International Finance program. Prof. Shi introduced the Center for Law and Economics at CUPL. Prof. Xie and Prof. Zhao gave an introduction of the Graduate School and School of Sociology. The ILF and CUPL have already signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2014 regrading the academic cooperation of both parties and currently, four students from CUPL are attending the current class of the LL.M. International Finance program. A further cooperation with the Center for Law and Economics and the Graduate School was discussed.
After the discussion with the ILF, the delegation was introduced to Dr. Susanne Pelster, Managing Director of the Law Faculty and two colleagues from the International Office of the Goethe University, namely Ms. Almuth Rhode, Acting Head of International Office and Dr. Mathias Diederich, Strategic Partnerships und International Recruitment.
