On 22 November 2024, we were very happy to receive the delegation from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, led by Mr. HU Zhangping, Deputy Director-General, and comprised the representatives Ms. WANG Hengdi, Division Director, Mr. WANG Jingming, Division Director, Ms. LI Xiujuan, Professor, East China University of Political Science and Law, Ms. WANG Lihui, Professor, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and Mr. LI Kun, Assistant Professor, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law.
Dr. Rolf Friedewald, ILF Managing Director, and Ms. Shen-Dee Kobbelt, Head of Programs and Marketing, warmly welcomed the delegation. After Mr. Hu briefly explained the main purposes of this visit, Dr. Friedewald introduced the structures of the German universities in general, and the set-up and organisation of the ILF in particular. In the second part of the meeting, Ms. Irene Xu, Admissions and Marketing Manager, gave a brief presentation of Goethe University as well as of the ILF's LL.M. International Finance program to our guests. The meeting ended with a tour at the ILF library and a lunch on Campus Westend.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited the offices of the international law firm, Fieldfisher, and was hosted by Dr. Rüdiger Litten. Dr. Litten shared why he, as a partner at Fieldfisher, at the same time teaches at the ILF and what he has learnt from teaching at the ILF as well as his observation about the Chinese students in the past 15 years. Mr. Hu and the delegation highly appreciated the opportunity to visit Fieldfisher and the sincere and insightful dialogue with Dr. Litten.
We look forward to have further dialogues with prestigious universities from Shanghai and receiving their students with degrees in law/economics/finance/business in the future!
