On 28 August 2024, we were very happy to host a student delegation from Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School, led by Ms. Luo Xiao, Director of Student Affairs Office, and Ms. Wang Jinyuan, Program Manager of Executive Education. 23 undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students were present.
After first visiting the ILF library, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Rolf Friedewald, Managing Director, and Ms. Irene Xu, Admissions and Marketing Manager for the LL.M. International Finance program in the conference room. After Dr. Friedewald and Ms. Jinyuan Wang gave their welcome speeches, Ms. Xu introduced Goethe University Frankfurt and the LL.M. International Finance program to the students.
During the coffee break, students could exchange information and ideas with each other, including future career development and life in Germany.
In the second session, Dr. Rüdiger Litten, ILF Lecturer and Partner from Fieldfisher, a leading international law firm, delivered a lecture titled "Regulation of Capital Markets – Taming the Wild Beast" to the students. After the lecture, students raised questions reagrding the impact of artificial intelligence technology on the legal and financial fields and Dr. Litten's insightful explanation broadened the students' horizons.
We look forward to receiving more Zhejiang University students with degrees in law, economics, finance or business in the future!
