As part of the Intercultural Communication course of the LL.M. International Finance program, our 11 Chinese students attended a number of company presentations which were organized for them during the semester break.
On 18 March 2015, our students attended a presentation given by Dr. Udo Milkau, Head of Strategy Transaction Banking, from DZ Bank, which was held at the House of Finance. Dr. Milkau introduced DZ Bank, one of the largest banks in Germany, by giving an insight into the workings of cooperative banking as well as DZ Bank as a central hub for transaction banking. After the presentation, our students could raise questions at a Q&A session.
On 25 March 2015, our students were cordially received by Ms. Bo Xiong, Deputy General Manager, Mr. Dong Fu, Marketing Manager, and Mr. Xiaodong Wang at the Frankfurt branch office of China Construction Bank. Ms. Xiong gave a presentation on the structure of the branch office as well as elaborated on the various activities and transactions which the branch office is involved in. It was very interesting for the students to find out more about the workings of a major Chinese bank in Germany and this was observed from the many questions raised by our students during the discussion.
At the end of each meeting, our speakers were presented with the ILF 10 Years’ Book to thank them for taking their time and effort to transfer valuable know-how to our students.
