We are Online! Start of Classes of the Summer Semester on 14 April 2020

The ILF’s Summer Semester 2020 has commenced on 14 April 2020. We are delighted that teaching at the ILF has restarted on schedule and will continue with minimal disruption. Students from both the LL.M. Finance and LL.M. International Finance programs have attended online lectures hosted by our “Virtual Classroom” where interactive sessions have now successfully replaced classroom teaching.

For the past weeks, the ILF administrative staff has coordinated introductory and training sessions with both lecturers and students to familiarize our academic and student body with the new method of teaching. We would like to thank both our lecturers and current students who have all been incredibly willing to adapt and learn to use our “Virtual Classroom” and who took the time to become familiar with the new teaching arrangements.

On 14 April 2020, the first day of the summer semester, the following classes were held:

LL.M. Finance Class

  • International Accounting by Mr. Artur Brandenburg, Director, Audit Commercial Clients, KPMG
  • Public M&A - A Comparative Approach by Mr. Patrick Kenadjian, Senior Counsel, Davis Polk & Wardwell and Mr. Frank Bretag, Managing Director, Georgieff Capital Advisors
  • Regulation of Financial Instruments by Dr. Rüdiger Litten, Partner, Fieldfisher

LL.M. International Finance Class

  • Law of Project and Acquisition Finance by Dr. Hendrik Haag, Partner, Hengeler Mueller
  • Nuts and Bolts of M&A by Dr. Till Kosche, Partner, Noerr

All of us at the ILF hope that we will be able to deliver face-to-face teaching on campus as soon as possible, however in the meantime we all look forward to continue with our “Virtual Classroom” to ensure that everyone’s health and safety is protected.
