Position
Dr. Andreas Meyer is a Senior Counsel in the capital markets team of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek PartGmbB in Frankfurt. He focuses on the laws of stock corporations, securities issuances and securities regulation as well as M&A and public takeovers.
Special interests
Dr. Kosche advises German and foreign financial and strategic investors regarding mergers & acquisitions and private equity transactions. He is an expert in complex multinational transactions. As a corporate lawyer, he has special expertise in complex joint ventures, reorganizations and complicated restructurings (including cross-border restructurings). He also regularly advises Chinese clients with significant in-bound investments in Germany and is responsible for the Firm's China Desk in Frankfurt.
Vita
Dr. Meyer received his legal education at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg im Breisgau, where he graduated in 1991 and worked as a research assistant. He also holds a doctorate from the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg im Breisgau (1993). He has been admitted to the Bar in Germany since 1995.
Dr. Meyer worked as an associate with Hengeler Mueller Weitzel Wirtz in Frankfurt am Main from 1995 until 2000, while working with Slaughter & May in London as a visiting lawyer 1997 and 1998. In 2000 he joined the legal department of Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt am Main and has led the ECM and M&A legal team 2005-2010 and the DCM, ECM and M&A legal team 2010 – 2015 and 2021 - 2024 while being responsible for the legal coverage of the Corporate Finance business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland 2016 – 2021.
He was a member of the Consultative Working Group of the Corporate Finance Standing Committee of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) 2013 – 2017 and 2020 – 2023 as well as of the Securities Law Committee of the International Bar Association 2009 – 2020. He also acted as a deputy member of the Expert Committee Commercial and Corporate Law of the Frankfurt bar 2006 – 2022.
In 2025, he started a new position as Senior Counsel at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek PartGmbB in Frankfurt, one of the major commercial law firms in Germany.

He is also the co-editor of a commentary and a handbook on German and European capital markets laws and acted as a co-editor of a German legal journal on Corporate Finance laws.
