In cooperation with Freshfields and the Center for Financial Studies, the Institute for Law and Finance invites you to join the 12th Conference on the Banking Union in Frankfurt am Main. The topic of this year's conference is "The Simplification of Banking Regulation and Supervision". 

We bring together viewpoints from supervisors, lawmakers, the financial industry, and academia to explore opportunities and proposals for simplifying the current regulatory and supervisory framework. Key aspects to be discussed will include the current simplification efforts both on legislative and supervisory level, in particular in light of the recently published Report on the Competitiveness of the Banking Sector and the Single Market in Banking of the European Commission. We will also consider the implications of these efforts for the current state and the future of the Banking Union.
