Prof. Yao Jianlong is a very well-known expert on the Criminal Law of the People´s Republic of China. He is Vice-President of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and director of its Institute of Law. He has, amongst others, acted as consulting and legislative expert at the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate as well as of other ministries, commissions and administrative organizations of the People´s Republic of China and of the Shanghai Municipality. In addition, he was a professor at the East China University of Political Science and Law as well as head and dean of the Faculty of Criminal Justice at the University of Political Science and Law Shanghai.
