Messing with the Regulator

28 November 2024
Frankfurt am Main, Germany

For decades, we have observed that – at least in Germany – legal disputes between credit institutions and the supervisory authorities, i.e. BaFin, before the courts are conspicuously rare. This situation may be different in other jurisdictions.

The recent PhD "Messing With the Regulator" by Dr Sonja Heitzer has inspired our upcoming event.
We cordially invite you to join us for our "Messing With the Regulator" on 28 November 2024 at the Institute for Law and Finance in Frankfurt am Main.

Agenda

After a lead-in from Dr Sonja Heitzer, a panel, consisting of Dr Denise Bauer-Weiler (UBS SE), Dr Klaus Lackhoff (ECB) and Professor Dr Ann-Katrin Kaufhold (LMU), moderated by Dr Mathias Hanten (Deloitte Legal) will start the discussion and the guests will be more than welcome to take an active part.

After the discussion, participants are invited for a late apéro riche to continue the discussion one-on-one and to exchange ideas.
The lead-in and all discussions will be in English and the Chatham House Rule will apply.
