If you have a German First Legal State Examination qualification and are enrolled in the LL.M. 5th Deloitte Brexit Lecture "Brexit – Implications for the Financial Services Industry" held on 29 March 2019

On Friday, 29 March 2019, the Institute for Law and Finance hosted our 5th Brexit Event in partnership with Deloitte. This was held on the initial date of the UK’s exit from the European Union, however there have and continues to be delays as the British Parliament fails to agree on a withdrawal agreement and possible exit strategies. Taking a quick look - 3 LL.M. Finance students currently undertaking their internships at White & Case LLP

As part of the one-year LL.M. Finance program which commenced in October 2018, our students have to complete a mandatory internship of at least 7 weeks either during the semester break from mid-February to mid-April 2019 or in the summer of 2019. Legal & Management Training Program for LL.M. International Finance Students 18 February to 15 March 2019

During the period from 18 February to 15 March 2019, students of the LL.M. International Finance program attended the Legal and Management Training Program held at the ILF. The course commenced with a field trip to Düsseldorf and Essen, followed by the students taking part in the Advanced Legal and Business English Course and the Intercultural Communication Course. Many of our LL.M. Finance students are currently doing their mandatory internships at the European Central Bank, Deutsche Bundesbank, Deutsche Börse, international law firms, major banks as well as auditing and consultancy firms during the break between the winter and summer semesters from mid-February to mid-April 2019.
